There have been many developments in arthritis care over the years including medications, surgeries and of course, exercise! It is important to keep your joints moving to reduce stiffness and build strength to support painful joints in your body.
At Onondaga Physical Therapy, a great number of our patient’s are affected by arthritis. It may be the reason they came to PT, or it may change the way a treatment is conducted for an unrelated diagnosis. Either way, arthritis is often on our minds and we would like to do as much as we can to raise awareness!
On November 19th at 10am, a group from Onondaga Physical Therapy, “The Hot Pack”, will be walking and/or running a 5K at Long Branch Park on Onondaga Lake. In the month of October and November, all 5 of our OPT offices are fundraising to help support Arthritis Research through the Arthritis Foundation. The Jingle Bell Run is a nationwide fun run and walk! So grab your sneakers, put on some holiday flare and join our team! If you can’t make it, stop into one of our 5 locations and donate.
This is a fun way to meet our whole team, get some exercise and raise awareness for a cause that has most likely affected you or someone you know!
